History of J.K Group

JK Group is a leading textile conglomerate with a rich history of growth and innovation in the textile industry. The company’s humble start began in 1994, just having 45 knitting machines and a focus on dyeing and finishing.

 

Nevertheless, JK Group quickly expanded its operations, adding a garments division in 1996 and expanding its production capacity to meet the growing demand for high-quality textiles.

 

Since its beginning, JK Group has been dedicated to excellence and committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the textile industry. Let’s take a journey through the significant milestones in the company’s history. 

Our history

1994

The Beginning

In 1994, JK Group embarked on its remarkable journey with the introduction of 45 knitting machines, accompanied by dyeing and finishing processes. This marked the inception of a company that would soon become a prominent player in the textile industry.

1996

Expansion into Garments

Just two years later, in 1996, JK Group expanded its horizons by adding a Garments Division with 8 production lines. Over time, this division has grown substantially, currently boasting an impressive 85 production lines with a capacity of 3.3 million pieces per month.

2002

Expansion into Spinning

In 2002, JK Group expanded into the spinning industry with the establishment of JK Spinning Mill. JK Spinning Mill has 56 ring machines with 516 spindles and a production capacity of 16 tons per day.

2004

Printing and Embroidery Added

In 2004, JK Group further diversified its offerings by incorporating printing and embroidery into its portfolio. This addition enhanced the company’s capabilities, allowing for more intricate and customized textile products.

2007

Cotton Mill Established

JK Group established the JK Cotton Mills with 54 Ring machines with 516 spindles. The mill has a production capacity of 15 tons per day.

2008

Synthetic Mill Established and Hospital Founded

JK Group established the JK Synthetic Mills with 28 Ring machines with 516 spindles. The mill has a production capacity of 8 tons per day.

 

JK Group also founded JK Memorial Hospital with 10 beds.

2009-2013

Hospital Expands Services

JK Memorial Hospital expanded its services to include a pathology lab with X-ray, ECG, and ultrasonography, an emergency department, a labor ward, an operation theater, a dental department, a diabetic department, and a physiotherapy department.

2014-2017

Establishment and Expansion of the Fishing Division

JK Group established its Fishing Division in 2014 with 4 mid-water fishing trawlers with a holding capacity of 200 tons each. In 2016, the division constructed a jetty. In 2017, the division added 1 new trawler with a capacity of 200 tons and a cold storage facility.

2018

Environmental Commitment & Beginning of Fish Exporting

In 2018, JK Group demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability by establishing an All Over Print Division. Additionally, the company implemented Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) and Water Treatment Plants (WPT) to manage wastewater responsibly.

 

Also in 2018, the Fishing Division started exporting fish.

2020

Green Recognition & New Addition to Fish Division

In 2020, JK Group achieved recognition for its eco-friendly practices, earning a ‘Green’ designation with a Gold rating. This milestone reflects the company’s dedication to reducing its environmental footprint while maintaining high-quality production.

 

Also in 2020, JK Group’s Fishing Division added 3 new trawlers with a capacity of 200 tons each.

2023

RO Plant Added and Oil Tanker Constructed

Continuing its commitment to sustainability, in 2023, JK Group proudly unveiled a State of the Art Zero Wastage Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant. This advanced facility showcases the company’s dedication to minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.

 

JK Group’s Fishing Division constructed 1 oil tanker to reserve fuel for trawlers in the same year
